Last Halloween (2004), I had some fun with the Trick or
Treaters by making the decoration pumpkins on our porch steps
come to life. Professor Spellbinder asked me to describe some of
the things I did for this issue of The Wizards' Journal. The
pumpkins can talk, tell jokes, insult people, sing songs and so
on. In the article, I describe the techniques I used and some of
the animated pumpkin decorations, like moving lips and eyes and
grabbing arms.
